Hamid has degrees in electrical engineering and is currently pursuing the PhD degree in the Bio-inspired VLSI Circuits and Systems Group at Imperial College London, where he was awarded a Hans Rausing Scholarship. Hamid is in the fourth year of his PhD and has authored or coauthored several peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in biomedical related topics. He is also a co-founder of Microsonix startup, focusing on developing a miniaturised, low-cost imaging device, which won first prize in the 2017 Venture Catalyst Competition.
