Momen Kamal Tageldeen

Momen Kamal Tageldeen was born and raised in Khartoum, Sudan. He was first admitted to the University of Khartoum and then awarded a fully sponsored scholarship to continue his study in Malaysia. In 2015, he received his B.Eng. (Hons.) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with first class from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). Then, he worked as a postgraduate researcher on machine learning accelerated algorithms for wearable robotics control and human rehabilitation. Momen’s work has been recognized with three gold medals in IEEE and other international robotics and design competitions.
In 2017, Momen received his Masters degree in Bioengineering with distinction from Imperial College London, his project title was “Development of Behind-the-Ear: Low-Power, Wearable Traumatic Brain Injury Bioinstrument”. He joined the BioCAS group as a Ph.D. student in April 2018 and he is currently working with the Physics Department towards a novel opto-acoustic modaliy for in-utero monitoring of epigenetics.
